Exercises that burn more calories include intense cycling, high-impact step aerobics, and speedier jogging. However, jogging at six mph or faster and intense stationary cycling can be more effective than elliptical machines.

It would be best if you kept an eye out for the following characteristics in an elliptical machine:

  • Adjustable Incline: This feature helps to make your workouts more challenging. While some machines can be adjusted automatically, others require physical labor.

  • Most elliptical machines allow you to modify the resistance, and a wide range can provide the best results. It should be simple at the lowest setting, and at roughly 75%, it should not be easy. That makes you exercise longer because you’re getting stronger.
